Some Strong Storms Possible Today…Scattered Storms For the Fourth…Cooler Temps Move in Next Week…

Happy Thursday! More rain and storms are expected today, but just like yesterday, there will be some places that are rain free. Highs today will be in the upper 90s to near 100 once again, with heat index values upwards of 110.

Regarding the storms for this afternoon, there could be some strong to severe just like yesterday. The main concern would be damaging winds and some hail that could be around quarter size. Tornadoes are very unlikely with today’s storms.

Going into the Fourth of July weekend, we will see more showers and storms around, but they will likely be scattered so there will be some dry periods. Temperatures will be trending cooler, but still hot, with lower to middle 90s expected both Saturday and Sunday. For next week, scattered showers and storms remain possible each day with highs in the upper 80s and lower 90s.

Have a great Thursday!
