Happy Thursday! We are looking at a very nice day today with no rain chances and mostly sunny skies! Highs will be in the upper 80s to around 90 with a light breeze at times. This evening, dry conditions continue with lows dropping down into the middle and upper 60s.
Tomorrow, the day will be dry with highs in the upper 80s to around 90 again with increasing cloud cover. Rain and storms should hold off until the overnight hours into early Saturday.
Speaking of Saturday, we are watching for the threat of some stronger storms. The SPC does have us outlined in a Marginal Risk at the moment, mainly for the threat of some damaging winds. However, there is a bit more wind shear present with this system, even in the low-levels, so an isolated tornado might not be out of the question. That is something we will keep close tabs on. There will likely be two waves of rain and storms: one in the morning hours, then redevelopment during the afternoon as we destabilize. Both rounds could have a strong storm, but the afternoon hours will likely feature the best odds.
For now, we don’t expect this to be a big severe weather maker for us, but a few storms might pack a bit of a punch. Just stay weather aware and keep checking back for more updates!
More rain and storms are expected on Sunday before our rain chances become a bit more widely scattered early next week.
