Cold, dry start to the week. A bit warmer heading into 2026.

Warm air is OUT and cold air is HERE! We are 25-35° colder this morning compared to yesterday morning. NW winds are gusting 20-30mph resulting in wind chill values in the 20s. We are not expecting much of a warm up by this afternoon, temperatures will stay in the 30s while feeling like the 20s due to the wind. The good news is we will have abundant sunshine for the rest of today, and a clear sky tonight. Lows tonight will get down into the teens, so dripping faucets wouldn’t be a bad idea.

The next few days will feature calm, dry weather as we ring in the new year! Tuesday is looking cold and sunny, with highs in the upper 30s to lower 40s. New Year’s Eve will be warmer, with highs around 50, and mostly sunny. New Year’s Day will be comfortable with temps in the mid 50s, with a partly cloudy sky. Rain does not return to the forecast until Friday morning with showers expected through Saturday morning.

While this week is off to a cold start, the good news is we don’t have any precip to worry about until temperatures will be above freezing Friday. This cold air to start the week will turn much more seasonable by mid week.
