Cold start to the week. Temperatures fluctuate with minimal rain chances.

It’s another cloudy start to this dreary Monday morning here in the Tennessee Valley. Temperatures will stay in the lower 40s this afternoon due to the lack of sunshine, however closer to sunset we may see some breaks in the clouds. Otherwise we are dry for the rest of the day with a partly cloudy sky overnight, and temperatures cooling off to the upper 20s. Tuesday will be dry with clouds filtering in and out, so expect a partly cloudy sky and warmer temps in the lower 50s by Tuesday afternoon.

A cold front will *try* to bring a rain shower or two to southern middle TN Wednesday, however I’m thinking we just get some increased cloud cover out of this mid-week system. Can’t rule out the chance, but it’s not looking likely. This is our only rain chance for the remainder of the work week.

Temperatures will fluctuate this week due to fronts and wind chances. Monday (today) winds are out of the north. Tuesday a southerly wind will take over, hence the warmer high temperatures expected. The brief warming trend continues Wednesday, before the mid-week cold front knocks our temps back again for the end of the week. We will get an additional shot of cold air Friday night, with lows in the lower 20s and weekend highs staying in the low 40s.
