Bundle up and layer up today, it’s cold! Air temps will struggle to make it into the lower 40s this afternoon. Wind gusts up to 30mph will make it feel colder than it actually is with wind chill values below freezing for the rest of the day.

The good news is a lot of us will see sunshine, however the further east you are in the viewing area, the more cloud cover you see. While I think most of the moisture today stays east of our viewing area, I can’t completely rule out a few snow flurries around and east of I-65. As we’ve been saying for the last several days, no impacts or accumulation is expected. Expect a clear sky tonight as winds eventually die down. Air temperatures tonight will get down even cooler, into the upper teens to lower 20s!

Sunny skies continue for the rest of the week, allowing our temperatures to warm back up fairly quickly. Enjoy a calm week ahead, the trade off is just the cold start!

We’re back into the 50s by Tuesday, and back into the 60s by Wednesday. By Friday, we’ll be feeling warm once again with highs reaching the low to mid 70s. We stay dry until our next rain chance Sunday.
