We certainly deserve a more quiet week of weather across the Tennessee Valley after this past weekend. Aside from a few rain and storm chances this week, we are going to be relatively calm. Nothing but sunshine is in store for the rest of today as well as tomorrow! That’s all thanks to high pressure nearby. While we are a bit chilly today with a northerly wind, southerly winds will warm us up Tuesday into the low 70s as we hold on to mostly sunny conditions.

Clouds will increase Wednesday, but rain chances hold off until the evening as a cold front will swing through, bringing us scattered showers and maybe a few rumbles of thunder. Don’t worry though, no severe thunderstorms are expected! Just don’t let the thunder catch you off guard. Rain looks to move in by late afternoon to early evening. Wednesday afternoon temperatures will be in the lower 70s with a breezy southerly wind.

The cold front will really cool things down around here, we may reach out high temperature Thursday just after midnight. Temperatures will be falling throughout the rest of the day as a northerly wind picks up on the back side of the cold front. Clouds will likely hang around Thursday as temperatures will be in the 40s during the afternoon. I can’t rule out a stray shower associated with some leftover moisture, but chances are quite slim. Thursday looks dry.
Friday will be mostly dry, aside from an overnight isolated rain shower chance. Clouds stick around Saturday but the day looks mostly dry and a bit warmer than Friday, as highs will get close to 70 across the viewing area. Sunday holds a scattered thunderstorm chance across the region. Enjoy the week!
