Clouds are still around today as well as a chance for showers, but it won’t be quite as rainy as yesterday. Most of the shower activity will stay around and east of I-65 the next few days. With today looking mostly cloudy for much of the viewing area (maybe more partly cloudy at times west of the Highway 43 corridor) highs this afternoon will be in the low to mid 80s, depending on how much sunshine there is. Like yesterday, rain may be heavy at times with these showers! Shower activity will clear out overnight, with lows reaching the upper 60s.
Moisture gradually moves eastward the next few days, I’m anticipating Tuesday and Wednesday to be mostly dry for most of the area west of I-65. Rain and storm chances will gradually increase heading in to the end of the week and into the weekend. That being said, it doesn’t look to be even scattered in nature, more spotty to isolated.
Overall, this week isn’t looking too bad, no plan-busting rain days but temperatures will be quite warm and humidity will certainly still be around. Not a bad first week of August if you ask me!
