Gloomy start to the week. Is the Halloween forecast a trick or a treat?

Good morning! This Monday is feeling quite like a quintessential Monday here in the Tennessee Valley, but our forecast for this week does feature some good news. More on that below. For now, let’s go day by day. Clouds stick around today with a few spotty showers. We are done with the widespread rainfall, for now, but it would still be a good idea to have the rain gear with you today. Temperatures will be chilly, as we are starting out in the low to mid 50s, we will not get much warmer than the upper 50s- maybe lower 60s if you’re lucky!

This evening, we will be mostly dry and cloudy. Temperatures will cool down into the lower 50s. Again, not much of a temperature swing today or tonight.

Tuesday starts off dry and overcast. The day will end much differently compared to the start. Rain doesn’t move in until later into the night, but it’s looking widespread and heavy at times. Widespread rain continues Wednesday morning, so you’ll certainly need the rain gear. Widespread rain will be moving through during the morning, but scattered showers will still be around during the afternoon and evening. We start tot dry out overnight, as clouds hang around as well as a stray shower or two Thursday.

Now you’re probably thinking, “Great, it’s going to rain on Halloween too?” but you would be happily mistaken! There is no rain chance Friday! This year’s Halloween forecast is looking like a treat, that is, if you can tolerate a chilly day/evening. Highs will only reach the upper 50s, with temps quickly cooling into the lower 50s and upper 40s during trick-or-treating time after school. Adjust your costume accordingly, with layers under or a jacket overtop. But hey, at least no umbrellas are needed! Unless you are dressing up as Mary Poppins.

DON’T FORGET! Daylight Saving Time ends this weekend! That means we enjoy an extra hour of sleep Saturday night, just to be met with an earlier sunset by Sunday evening.
