Gloomy start to the week. Rounds of rain and storms. Fall temps arrive soon!

We are off to a gloomy start across the Tennessee Valley on this Monday morning. Skies are mostly cloudy or overcast with some light spotty showers moving south to north. Rain and thundershowers will be on and off for the rest of the morning and afternoon as skies remain cloudy. Highs today will likely stay in the upper 70s for most, with a few folks in Alabama reaching the lower 80s. Overnight we are expecting more rain and thundershowers, but it’s not a ‘rain all night’ kind of thing. Lows tonight will cool off into the mid to upper 60s. More scattered showers and storms are expected Tuesday, as early as the morning.

Tuesday features a higher chance for rain and thunderstorms, however severe weather is not expected. We will see a few waves, with the “final round” coming through Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning. An approaching cold fron will help spawn those off, and will help clear things out by the end of the week. Cloud cover and a few thundershowers will linger Wednesday and Thursday, but those days will be drier. The weekend is looking great so far!

Rain chances peak Tuesday and Tuesday night, and the end of the week is looking nice! Not to mention these temperatures we have to look forward to…highs consistently in the 70s? yes please!
