Happy Friday! Another hot day is expected across the Southeast with highs in the upper 90s to near 100 for some. Heat index values will once again be in the 105-110 range during the afternoon hours. A mix of sun and clouds are on tap today with low chances for an isolated shower or storm. This evening, temperatures will drop into the mid 80s by 8pm and then down into the 70s overnight.

For the weekend, more hot weather is expected with mid and upper 90s both days. An isolated shower or storm will be possible with a mix of sun and clouds.

There is some good news next week and that is COOLER WEATHER! We will start off in the mid 90s on Monday but by the time we get into Wednesday and Thursday, we do expect low and mid 80s return for highs! Lows could drop down into the 50s for some places early Thursday morning.

Showers and storms are expected to be scattered Monday and Tuesday before rain chances get quite low again Wednesday and Thursday.
