I hope you had a wonderful weekend enjoying highs in the mid 80s and lows in the low 60s! It was such a nice treat for us in the middle of August. But as you know, all good things must eventually come to an end. Heat and humidity build back up this week and we’ve got a few (much needed) rain chances on the board. Highs today will reach the upper 80s to lower 90s depending on your location. Perhaps a stray shower may sneak in, but otherwise expect a partly cloudy sky with dry conditions.
Tonight will be dry with a partly cloudy to mostly clear sky. Lows tonight will dip down into the mid 60s. Much of Tuesday will be dry, aside from a stray thundershower chance. You’ll notice cloud cover increase, especially in the evening and overnight. A few showers and thundershowers will move in after midnight, but it’s not looking widespread in coverage.
Expect a few morning showers Wednesday as you’re getting up and going, and an isolated thundershower chance will remain through the rest of the day. The more west you are in the viewing area, the higher your rain chance will be for Wednesday. Isolated thundershowers are in the forecast for Thursday as well, but again, chances aren’t all that great. Better chances look to come Friday, with an additional shower & thunderstorm chance.
Heat and humidity build back up this week, with highs in the mid 90s some days and heat index values in the upper 90s to lower 100s. While that won’t be pleasant by any means, it’s not totally unbearable. Just take it easy if you’ll be outside for long periods of time.
