We can’t ask for a better way to start the week if we tried. Comfortable temperatures in the upper 70s to lower 80s this afternoon is just what the doctor ordered. No Monday blues here! Expect nothing but sunshine, unless a few clouds sneak in this afternoon. With a clear sky tonight, temperatures will be chilly overnight once again, with lows in the upper 40s to lower 50s. If you like today’s forecast, then you’re in luck for the next several days.

Calm and pleasant weather continues through the end of the work week with mostly sunny to sunny conditions not only for the Tennessee Valley but also for most of the southeast U.S. We stay completely rain free until the weekend here locally. While some heat will build back up with sunny day after sunny day, we round out Friday afternoon in the low to mid 80s, so nothing unbearable just a bit warm for this time of year.

A pretty stout cold front is expected to swoop through the Tennessee Valley this weekend. Behind the scenes here, we are watching model data closely to determine if there is a strong storm threat here in the Tennessee Valley this weekend. We are waiting on more model agreement before communicating this threat more in-depth, however here is your “heads up” for the weekend. The Storm Prediction Center has a large area highlighted on the Day 6 Outlook just west of our local area. It’s too early to dive deeper into the details, but right now we have a chance of scattered to widespread showers and storms Saturday and Sunday. It likely will not storm both days unless we are getting technical due to an overnight timing. Stay tuned for updates on how we foresee storm ingredients coming together this weekend.
