I won’t complain about the lack of things to talk about when it comes to the weather forecast here in the Tennessee Valley. The most exciting thing happening this week will be a few light showers! Enjoy another pleasant afternoon today, with highs in the lower 70s and plenty of sunshine.

Patchy fog may develop overnight in Northwest Alabama, but I don’t expect visibility to be a major issue. Fog will mix out after sunrise, and we will be off to another sunny start for Wednesday. Temperatures will start out in the lower 40s, and warm in to the mid 70s. That is all thanks to a breezy southerly wind, so yes it will be windy at times Wednesday!

Clouds will increase Wednesday afternoon as high temperatures reach the low to mid 70s. While we still have rain showers in our forecast Wednesday night, models are trending drier with the system, that didn’t have abundant moisture to work with in the first place. That being said, don’t expect much, but a few spotty light showers may move through Wednesday night. What’s more guaranteed with this cold front, is cooler temperatures. After the front moves through, we are back to sunny skies.

I knocked rain chances down slightly, and if drier model trends continue we will adjust accordingly. We will drop about 15 degrees between Wednesday and Thursday afternoon thanks to a southerly wind turning northerly after FROPA (frontal passage). Enjoy a pleasant, but cooler weekend!
