Good Thursday morning! While today won’t feature high rain chances, we will see our chances for showers and storms go up tomorrow and into Saturday. However, for today, just some isolated showers and storms will be possible during the afternoon and evening. There could be a quick uptick in shower and storm activity during the mid to late evening hours but we should be dry during the overnight.
Highs today will be in the mid 90s with heat index values in the 100-106 range so be sure to take those heat precautions! Tonight we will see our lows drop down into the mid 70s.
For tomorrow, with some slightly higher rain chances and some cloud cover, our highs will be in the lower to mid 90s so not as hot as we have today. Scattered showers and storms will develop during the afternoon and evening. Heat index values will still be around the 100 degree mark.
Going into the weekend, our rain chances will go up on Saturday but then drop off slightly on Sunday. Don’t cancel any outdoor plans but know you might have to dodge a few storms. Highs will still be in the upper 80s and lower 90s. Now heading into next week, things start to get hot! Highs will be in the mid to even upper 90s Tuesday and Wednesday with heat index values over 105! Get ready for the heat to get cranked up!
