Good Thursday morning! After a batch of storms moved through this morning, we are beginning our drying trend finally! There will still be a few showers or storms that develop this afternoon, but nothing is expected to be overly widespread. Highs today will struggle to reach the mid 80s for most places, thanks to all the cloud cover this morning. This evening, any shower or storm activity that develops will quickly die off and then we are dry during the overnight. Some patch areas of fog will likely develop tonight so be careful if you are out late!

Going into tomorrow and the weekend, our gears shift from storm mode into heat mode! Highs will reach the upper 80s and lower 90s on Friday, and then the lower to mid 90s over the weekend. Heat index values could get as high as 105 in some spots! Be sure to take those heat precautions if you are outdoors. While there is a very low end chance of rain Saturday and Sunday, most places will likely remain just dry and hot.

The heat continues into next week, with highs staying in the low to mid 90s and heat index values over 100! We do see a slight increase in daily shower and storm chances but of the pop-up, very isolated variety.

Have a great Thursday!
