Relatively dry start to the week before rain and storm chances pick back up.

Good morning! After a gloomy weekend we can expect relatively drier conditions today and tomorrow. Unfortunately this dry period won’t last very long. Even today we could see a few spotty showers pass by as a remnant low pressure is still nearby. Otherwise I do think a lot of us stay dry today. Temps will stay in the 60s this afternoon as clouds hang around as well. Tonight expect a dry night with a partly cloudy sky and lows getting down into the upper 40s.

Tuesday is looking pretty nice for the most part, we will be dry for much of the day with a mix of sunshine and clouds. Tuesday afternoon temps will be in the mid 70s. Clouds will increase Tuesday evening ahead of an overnight rain and thunder chance. And beyond that, we will see a few more rounds of rain and storms before we see a drier pattern settle in by Friday night. We certainly are in no rain deficit but I don’t foresee any major flooding issues this week.

While our weather pattern stays unsettled for much of the week- there are two pieces of good news I can share. 1- no severe weather is expected in the Tennessee Valley this week. 2- we look to clear out just in time for Mother’s Day weekend!
