Good Tuesday! Another bout of rain and storms occurred this morning and later on this afternoon, additional showers and storms are expected to develop. Most of the activity today will be south of the Tennessee state line. Some of the storms could be on the heavy side with gusty winds and locally heavy rain. The overall severe risk today is rather low once again. Thanks to the cloud cover and areas of rain, highs today will likely remain in the lower 70s.
This evening, showers and storms remain possible but the overall activity will start to die down. Temperatures will remain on the mild side with mid 60s expected by 9-10pm and then lower 60s by the time sunrise rolls around tomorrow morning.

Going into the day on Wednesday, more showers and storms are expected but not on a widespread basis. Rain chances are only around 40%. Where the showers and storms do form, they could be heavy once again with gusty winds and locally heavy rain. Due to the amount of rain some places have received by tomorrow, some isolated instances of flooding could be possible so keep that in mind. Highs tomorrow should reach the lower 80s thanks to some breaks in the clouds.

Heading into Thursday and Friday, we will see our best chance for rain and storms. Widespread showers and storms are expected Thursday with highs generally in the upper 70s to around 80. Friday could be the day where it ends up being a washout with numerous areas of rain and storms expected through the day. No severe weather is currently anticipated but some instances of gusty winds could be possible. Flooding could become an issue on Friday in areas that have seen several inches by this time.

Towards the end of the forecast, we do see rain and storm chances diminish over the weekend with only isolated chances. Temperatures will start to increase however due to that with highs back up into the lower and mid 80s both Sunday and Monday.
Have a great rest of your Tuesday!
