Happy Friday! After a small batch of showers and storms moved through parts of Southern Tennessee this morning, additional isolated showers and storms will be possible area wide later this afternoon. Otherwise, expect periods of sun and clouds with highs in the upper 80s and lower 90s. This evening, while an isolated spotty shower will be possible, we are mainly dry with lows down in the upper 60s and lower 70s.

Over the weekend, some widely scattered showers and storms will be possible on Saturday with only isolated showers or storms on Sunday. Highs both days will be in the lower 90s. Heat index values will be closing in on 100. This will be a weekend where if you want to get out on the lake or river, you will have some good dry periods to work with. Just be sure to stay hydrated and put that sunscreen on!

Going into next week, the heat really starts to crank up! Highs will be in the lower to middle 90s with heat index values between 100-106. Rain chances are currently set at 10% each day, but there are hints in the model guidance that we could see some isolated to widely scattered activity at some point. However, with the ridge of high pressure expected to settle in, that usually keeps better rain chances from being realized. Something we will monitor over the coming days.

Have a great Friday and weekend!
