Good Wednesday afternoon! Only some spotty showers or perhaps a storm are expected through the rest of the day with highs in the upper 80s to near 90. Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy. This evening, only a spotty shower will be possible across Northern Alabama, with lows dropping into the upper 60s to near 70.
Tomorrow, just a spotty shower will be possible, mainly across Northern Alabama. Otherwise, expect partly cloudy skies and highs in the mid 80s.
For Friday and Saturday, widespread rain and storms are expected which could lead to some flooding problems. There is a Flood Watch in effect for parts of Northeastern Alabama and parts of Southern Tennessee. Some locally heavy rainfall can be expected with the activity going into the weekend.
Slightly lower rain chances are on tap for Sunday with only isolated to widely scattered showers or storms possible. Drier and hotter weather is expected next week with highs back in the mid 90s and heat index values over 100!
