Strong to Severe Storms Possible Tomorrow and Over the Weekend…Temperatures Get Close to 90-Degrees Tomorrow!

Good Thursday morning! Another day of warm and somewhat muggy conditions is expected today with highs in the mid to upper 80s. A few isolated to widely scattered showers or storms could develop this afternoon but most will remain dry. This evening, any chance of rain will remain on the low end with skies remaining partly cloudy. Temperatures will drop into the 70s for the majority of your evening.

Tomorrow, we do see an increasing risk for showers and storms during the afternoon and evening with highs in the upper 80s to near 90 in some places! Some of the storms could be strong to severe with damaging winds being the primary risk. A few instances of large hail could be possible. The tornado risk for Friday is very close to zero but we cannot completely rule a brief one out. The overall timing of the storms cannot be entirely exact but between 2pm and 10pm will be the main window.

Showers and storms will likely continue to some extent during the late evening hours so if you have any evening plans, please keep that in mind.

Going into the weekend, multiple rounds of showers and storms are expected along with the continued risk for strong to severe storms. Main concern will still be damaging winds but some instances of large hail will be possible. An isolated brief tornado cannot be completely ruled out on Saturday as there will be some slightly better shear to work with. Highs for Saturday and Sunday will be in the lower 80s.

Once again, the overall timing of the storms cannot be entirely exact because what transpires Friday will effect what happens on Saturday. However, a window of 12pm to 8pm seems to be a good overall window.

Next week, we will continue to see showers and storms remain on the table but chances drop off some on Tuesday and Wednesday. A strong storm or two still cannot be ruled out. Highs will remain in the lower 80s and lows down into the 60s.

Have a great Thursday and stay weather aware over the coming days!
