Taste of fall this week. Comfortable temps, few rain chances.

Well isn’t today just a breath of fresh air! This morning’s crisp air makes me want to whip up a pumpkin spice latte. We have a nice taste of fall in store this week, and we are off to a great start. Sunny skies will start us off, and clouds will gradually move in throughout the afternoon. Temperatures will be comfortable this afternoon with highs ranging from the upper 70s in southern middle TN, to the low to mid 80s in North Alabama & Northeast MS. I can’t rule out a spotty light rain shower or two overnight with a mostly cloudy sky. Lows tonight will be in the lower 60s.

You may need the rain gear Tuesday morning with on-and-off light to moderate rain showers during the morning. Otherwise, expect mostly cloudy to overcast skies to start Tuesday, but the afternoon should be dry as sunshine returns at least partially. Temperatures will stay in the upper 70s for most Tuesday afternoon due to a gloomy morning with not much sunshine. As clouds continue to clear out of the Tennessee Valley Tuesday afternoon and evening, we will be left with a mostly clear sky overnight. That will allow temperatures to get quite chilly, especially relatively speaking.

Wednesday is looking dry with a mix of sunshine and clouds. Thursday holds the chance for a few thundershowers, especially west. Friday is looking mostly dry, and the weekend simply features a few afternoon thundershowers each day. It’s a pretty uneventful week ahead, and the main story is certainly the temperatures.
