Good Thursday morning! Temperatures continue to stay on the very warm side today and even tomorrow with highs expected to be in the upper 80s to around 90! Along with the heat does come the humidity, which will make it feel like above 90 degrees. Also, with that humidity comes the rain and storm chances once again. Scattered showers and storms are expected today but not everyone will see rain. A strong storm could be possible with gusty winds and some small hail, but the overall severe risk today is very low. Skies will remain partly to mostly cloudy through the day. This evening, an isolated shower or storm will remain possible with lows down in the lower 70s.

Going into Friday, more of the same is expected however, the shower and storm chances do go up. Widespread showers and storms are expected during the afternoon and evening. Once again, a strong storm or two will be possible with gusty winds and small hail, but the overall severe risk is very low. Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy through the day. During the evening and overnight hours, some showers and storms will remain possible.

For Father’s Day weekend, things don’t get any better unfortunately. Widespread showers and storms are expected both Saturday and Sunday with highs in the lower to mid 80s. It likely won’t be a complete washout of a day for both days, however, rain and storms could be possible at any given moment. The best window for storms will be between 11am and 5pm both days.

At the beginning of next week, we will continue to hold onto those rain chances, but they do tick down just a bit. That will allow for highs to rebound back into the mid and upper 80s, especially heading into Tuesday and Wednesday.

Have a great Thursday!
