Warm & breezy today. Cold front brings rain chance, cooler temps.

I know it’s Monday, but it’s not looking or feeling like it at least in the weather department. We’ve had nothing but sunshine and we are warm! Highs this afternoon will be in the low to mid 80s, thanks to a breezy southerly wind. Winds could gust up to 25mph at times throughout the day. We have a cold front moving through that will bring us a few scattered showers, maybe a few rumbles of thunder, this evening. Rain won’t move in until after 7pm, so much of your day today will be dry! If you have plans after 7pm, you may need the rain gear.. It’s not looking like a washout, but looking scattered in nature. Lows overnight as the rain clears out will get down into the lower 50s. Aside from a stray straggling morning rain shower, Tuesday will be dry with abundant sunshine as high pressure settles in to the Tennessee Valley.

The nice thing about this week is we have minimal rain chances. Tonight (Monday night) is our highest rain chance. Otherwise, high pressure looks to beat our any shot of rain we have over the next several days. Rain gets close during the weekend, but looks to stay to our west. Just throwing that out there, since I know a lot of you probably have outdoor plans this Easter weekend. For now, our weekend forecast is rain-free!

Aside from this evening’s rain chance, it’s truly looking like a lovely week here in the Tennessee Valley. Which is great because it is just in time for Easter weekend when I know so many people have more plans than usual. Good Friday is looking wonderful, with highs in the lower 80s and a partly cloudy sky. Saturday and Sunday alike will be fantastic for any outdoor meals, games, egg hunts, festivals, church services- whatever it may be! Like I mentioned, it looks like rain holds off and stays west until Monday, but we will let you know if anything changes. Have a wonderful week!
