Daily storm chances continue. Temperatures stay in the upper 80s and lower 90s.

Bring an umbrella if you plan to spend time outside this week, as showers and storms are a daily possibility. The highest rain chances occur tomorrow and on Sunday this week. Temperatures remain fairly consistent, with highs in the upper 80s and lower 90s. Next week, we will continue to see highs in the upper 80s and lower 90s, along with possible showers and thunderstorms.

Today began beautifully, with partly cloudy skies and pleasant temperatures. Expect temperatures to reach the upper 80s and lower 90s for the rest of the day, which, combined with high humidity, will make it feel slightly muggy outside today. As we head throughout the day today, showers and storms are possible, and some of these storms have the potential to be on the strong side as the SPC has put our area under a level 1 out of 5 risk for severe weather. However, at this time, the main threat looks northwest of our area.

Moving on to Thursday, rain chances remain, but temperatures are expected to be slightly cooler compared to today and remain in the upper 80s and lower 90s. If you have plans to be outside on Thursday, bring an umbrella, as shower and storm chances are higher compared to Wednesday. Storms are expected to continue into Thursday night, with temperatures dropping to the upper 60s and lower 70s.

Rain chances for this weekend remain, and on Friday there is a chance for scattered showers and storms throughout the day. Temperatures are expected in the upper 80s and lower 90s on Friday for the highs. As we head through Friday night, rain chances continue and temps drop to lows in the upper 60s and lower 70s. The chance for showers and storms is lower on Saturday and the highest chance appears to be during the afternoon and evening. The temperature on Saturday will be slightly warmer compared to Friday, but still in the upper 80s to lower 90s. Rain chances rise again on Sunday, and scattered showers and storms can be expected throughout the day. Along with the rain chances, temperatures will reach the upper 80s and lower 90s for the highs. As we head into Sunday night, keep the fan on high because temperatures are only expected to drop to the low-to-mid 70s.

Heading into next week, Monday temperatures can be expected in the upper 80s to lower 90s for the highs. Rain chances will continue, but they are lower compared to Sunday. The chance for showers and storms is particularly high for those who live in the Northern Alabama region; however, Middle Tennessee will see rain as well. Bring a rain jacket on Monday if you have plans to be outside, especially if you live in Northern Alabama. Monday night, temperatures will drop to lows in the upper 60s and lower 70s. On Tuesday, temperatures will be similar to Monday, and other than a slight chance for pop-up showers and storms, it looks largely dry.

Temperatures are expected to remain consistent for the remainder of this week, with highs in the upper 80s and lower 90s. Showers and storms are possible every day this week, but the chances are much higher tomorrow and Sunday. Northern Alabama will see more rain and storms this week, but Middle Tennessee will still see showers and storms. The best day to make plans this week appears to be Saturday due to the lower rain chances. As we head into the beginning of next week, temperatures continue to be in the upper 80s and lower 90s for the highs, and showers and storms continue. Stay safe by keeping an eye out for flashes of lightning or thunder and going indoors if there is a thunderstorm.
