Warm this week with a few spotty rain chances.

I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend! While we don’t have rain on this Monday, it’s still giving very much gloomy vibes with a mostly cloudy sky. We’ve got a nice stretch of warm days ahead. Our average high temperature this time of year is in the lower 70s, and we’ll be in the upper 70s, if not lower 80s some days this week. This afternoon we will hang onto cloud cover, but we will steer clear of any rain showers. Tonight’s lows will get down into the mid to upper 50s, with a mostly cloudy sky.

We stay dry for the next few days, with clouds still hanging around. We’ll inch up a degree or two from afternoon to afternoon. Expect highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s, with a mixture of sunshine and clouds. We will see more sunshine across the area Wednesday compared to today and Tuesday.

Thursday stays dry as well, but clouds will increase, especially in the evening. A cold front will inch its way toward the Tennessee Valley, but it will turn stationary before it gets very close. That will delay our rain chances a bit, with a few showers possible Friday, but the cold front won’t actually move through until Sunday/Monday. That will be our next decent rain chance, as well.

Overall, rain chances aren’t all that great this week. I think we will be able to raise the rain chances Sunday/Monday once we get a bit closer to the weekend and once we see a little more model agreement. Until then, expect temps in the upper 70s to lower 80s and mostly dry conditions.
