Multiple thunderstorm chances this week. Few dry days ahead.

I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Unfortunately, we start the week off with multiple storm chances, including today. A line of thunderstorms will approach the TN Valley from the SW. The good news? It looks to fall apart as it moves into our area. However, the chance for scattered thundershowers remains this afternoon/evening. Expect afternoon temps to be anywhere from the low 80s to the upper 80s, depending on how much sunshine a given area receives. Scattered storms are possible once again overnight. We do not expect severe storms in our local area today or tonight. Lows tonight will get down to the upper 60s.

Storms will move through the area periodically throughout the morning and afternoon on Tuesday. Again, we are not expecting severe weather Tuesday. Storms will continue overnight and into very early Wednesday morning. Another round of storms will arrive Wednesday evening. Those storms should let up by Thursday morning. Thursday will be mostly dry, with some leftover moisture potentially producing some very spotty thundershowers Thursday afternoon. That sets the tone for Friday, which will be mostly sunny and less humid, too!

Speaking of relief from humidity, we can also expect below-average temperatures come this weekend. For reference, our average high temperature for early June is in the mid 80s. The weekend is looking mainly dry and pleasant, with perhaps a pop-up storm Sunday.
