Beautiful Weather Pattern Taking Hold This Week

After a rather unsettled beginning to the Weekend, I for one have no complaints as to how our Sunday has been – the skies have been as blue as can be and we’ve really had a nice taste of fall today with those absolutely mild 70s being the story for most all of us, especially in Southern Middle Tennessee. Tonight will be not particularly different from this, with lows getting down to below-average ranges once more with lower 50s being the story on the whole… but I would be willing to wager a handful of us in Southern Tennessee will see upper 40s mixed in by tomorrow morning! This is the last day of the significantly cooler weather – we warm up again soon.

Another wonderful day will be in store for us tomorrow with only slightly warmer temperatures (the beginning of our warming trend, in fact) keeping us in the lower 70s, though a couple of us may be stuck in those stubborn upper 70s. Not much in the way of cloud cover to speak of either, helping us creep up a little more as far as those temperatures are concerned, and, though it probably goes without saying, we stay dry as a bone once more to start our week and this is the trend we carry into the workweek.

By midweek we’ll be back to roughly average to slightly above average temperatures, replacing this taste of fall with more Summer-like weather in the form of upper 80s to near 90 for our daytime highs, and our lows respond as well as they rise back into the upper 50s and lower 60s. With current models, it seems like the last few days were the coolest of the coming week – so hopefully you got all the outdoor use you could out of the cooler weather (though, as mentioned, we won’t exactly have any outdoor condition issues to speak of for our next week)…

Cooler, hotter, or anything in-between not withstanding, there is one truth in the forecast – and that is that we have a BEAUTIFUL week to work with. High pressure keeps any substantial precipitation chances at bay for the next 7-10 days, and moisture as a whole will be minimal, leading to little cloud cover and lower dewpoints, which helps keep our heat index values closer to our true temperatures. Finally, a dry and sunny week without a “catch” in the Tennessee Valley!
