Showers and storms are expected daily with diminishing chances as we head into next week.

Showers and storms can be expected today as well as over the weekend. Currently, it seems that Sunday is the best day to make plans for this weekend because there is a lower chance of rain. However, rain is still predicted, so if you do make Sunday plans, make sure to bring an umbrella just in case. Rain and storm chances continue into the coming week, but they are less likely than they were this weekend.

Partly cloudy skies and dry weather made for a pleasant start to the day. If you intend to spend the day outside, pack your raincoat because there will be scattered showers and storms throughout the day. With damaging winds and hail, a few of these storms could be on the stronger side today. Pay attention to any weather updates today and keep an eye out for thunder. Today’s highs and lows are expected to be in the lower 90s and the 70s, respectively.

As we move into Friday, rain and storms are still a possibility and are more likely than they were on Thursday. The showers and storms will once again be scattered throughout the day, so if you plan to be outdoors on Friday, you should definitely bring an umbrella. Today’s highs are predicted to reach the lower 90s, which combined with the humidity will give the area a slightly muggy feeling. On Friday night, a few storms will linger through the night, and overnight lows will drop to the low-to-mid 70s.

On Saturday, showers and storms are much more likely compared to Friday. It definitely won’t be a great day for outdoor activities, as the majority of the day will consist of rain and thunderstorms. You’ll definitely want to keep your umbrella handy if you plan to be outdoors on Saturday. In addition to elevated rain chances, highs can be expected in the lower 90s. Storms will continue Saturday night, and temperatures will drop to the upper 60s to lower 70s. Sunday appears to be the driest day this weekend, other than a few pop-up storms. High temperatures can be expected in the upper 80s and lower 90s. On Sunday night, a few storms are possible, and low temperatures are expected in the mid-70s.

Heading into next week, Monday also holds the chance for showers and storms, with rain chances similar to Sunday. It does look predominantly dry; however, it would still be a good idea to bring your rain jacket just in case you encounter one of these isolated storms. Storm chances will increase Monday night, and lows will fall to the upper 60s and lower 70s.

Thankfully, it looks like we will see some relief from the rain on Tuesday, as it appears to be mostly dry other than a slight chance for isolated showers. It looks like a great day to spend outdoors, whether you go to a park or just enjoy your own backyard. High temperatures will be in the low-to-mid 90s, and partly cloudy skies are expected. Tuesday night, low temperatures will fall to the low-to-mid 70s, so it’s a night you’ll want to turn your fan on. On Wednesday, the chance for isolated showers and storms is slightly higher; however, the majority of the day looks dry. Daytime temperatures are expected to reach highs in the low-to-mid 90s. Wednesday night, overnight lows are expected in the low-to-mid 70s once again.

Overall, showers and storms are expected today and over the weekend. Sunday appears to be the driest day over the weekend, with only a slight chance for pop-up showers and storms, so it appears to be the best day to make weekend plans. However, rain is still expected on Sunday, so if you do make plans, it’s a good idea to bring your rain gear just in case. As we head into next week, rain and storm chances continue but are much less likely compared to this week.
