Nice start to the week. Unsettled and stormy pattern arrives soon.

I hope everybody had a wonderful weekend across the Tennessee Valley! It’s graduation season, and I know a lot of you have been dodging rain and storms, but hey, that’s summertime in the South! While this afternoon we have the slightest, smallest chance for a pop-up storm, I think most of us will stay dry. If you’re heading to the E.O. Coffman 8th grade recognition this evening, any afternoon storm should be gone by 5pm, although our 10% chance extends through 6pm. I’m expecting a mostly dry evening, and hopefully downtown Lawrenceburg does not have the sole thundershower of the day at 5:30 pm!

Also worth a mention, today will be quite hot and humid. Expect highs in the upper 80s this afternoon! We will be quite warm and muggy all week, in fact.

Overnight tonight we will remain dry across the Tennessee Valley as low temperatures dip town to the mid 60s. Expect mostly sunshine for Tuesday and enjoy a day of no rain chance whatsoever. While Tuesday will be quite warm again, it’ll have any of your outdoor plans unperturbed. Don’t forget your daily sunscreen! Wednesday isn’t looking bad, but we start to get closer and closer to showers impacting the Tennessee Valley. Those showers move in Wednesday evening.

After Wednesday night’s scattered rain showers, we can expect showers and storms for Thursday and Friday, with the highest chance being Friday. Right now we do not see a severe weather set-up, but we will keep an eye on it and let you know if that changes. Storm chances will continue through the weekend, in a less organized fashion compared to Friday. This weekend’s storms will be the pop-up hit or miss variety! One thing will be guaranteed each day, however. Hot and humid conditions!
