We will be watching the radar closely this evening and into the early overnight hours as we do anticipate a strong to severe storm risk across our area! While we do not expect this to be a major severe risk, some of the storms could pack a bit of a punch. Our main concern is damaging winds and some hail. The tornado threat is not zero, but it is very low so we will have to watch any storm that attempts to rotate closely. Storms could fire up as early as 5pm, but the best time to see strong storms will be between 7pm and 2am. This could mean that some of the high school football games this evening are impacted. Stay weather aware and have ways to get warnings in case they are needed!

For the majority of the day today, we are dry and getting hot with highs back into the low to mid 90s. Skies should generally be partly to mostly sunny. Winds will be a bit breezy at times with gusts around 15-20mph out of the south and southwest. Overnight lows will be down into the mid to upper 60s.

Tomorrow, most rain and storms are expected, mainly before noon. Some of the locally heavy rain could lead to isolated flooding. With all of the rain and clouds around, highs should generally remain in the 70s, but depending on how things play out, some spots could stay in the 60s all day. The afternoon hours should me mostly dry with some clouds still around.

The cooler air will continue to dominate going into Sunday and even Monday, with highs in the upper 70s and lower 80s with just some passing clouds. We will warm back up into the mid 80s as we approach the middle of next week. Rain chances should remain close to zero going through next week.

Have a great Friday and weekend!
