Happy Friday! After a dry stretch of weather to end 2025, rain is back into the area for today and tonight. Clouds will continue to build across the area and by the late afternoon hours, we should see areas of light to moderate rain spread across the Tennessee Valley. No thunderstorms are expected…just a period of steady rain. Highs today will be in the upper 50s, maybe close to 60 in some spots. This evening, periods of rain continue into the early overnight hours before becoming very spotty and light by Saturday morning. Lows will be in the 40s.
Over the weekend we expect dry weather to return with highs in the 50s and the skies will be partly to occasionally mostly cloudy.
Going into the first full week of 2026, we expect things to start off dry with temperatures getting back into the 60s. By Thursday however, rain and perhaps even a few storms will move into the area. Right now we don’t expect any severe weather problems but we will keep a close eye on things!
