Update on drought conditions: There has been a little more improvement!

The latest update from the NWS Climate Prediction Center continues to show a little more improvement in drought conditions across the area. There are no longer any portions of our 14 county viewing area listed in “Extreme” or “Exceptional” drought conditions. Still cold, but there is hope for milder temperatures ahead. There are also some shower chances ahead by late in the weekend.

Temperatures were downright disrespectful across the area early this morning! Check out the morning lows… all of our viewing area was near or into the single digits. A few places as cold as 1 DEGREE ABOVE ZERO. We will be cold again tonight, but not quite nearly as cold. Overnight lows look to range anywhere
